Bethesda Hospital Foundation
For 63 years the Foundation has raised funds to create and maintain the values of Bethesda Memorial Hospital, our community-non-profit Hospital. With the area’s growth and our tremendous facility, expertise and services, Bethesda is now the most comprehensive hospital in Palm Beach County, providing the broadest range of services in the area, including 40 specialties and the following Centers of Excellence: Cardiology, Oncology, Women & Children’s Services and Rehabilitation.
Our Hospital is a great contributor to the workforce and economy in our area – employing nearly 2,500 staff people including 550 doctors.
At Bethesda we see hundreds of thousands of patients each year. Did you know that last year more than 250,000 members our community were cared for here? Here’s how, through: 19,611 hospital admissions, 2,864 deliveries, 9,467 surgeries, 58,591 patients cared for in our Emergency Department and 187,804 outpatient visits.
As you can see, Bethesda is an integral part of our community and in the lives of everyone here. Did you also know that Bethesda provided $46.9 million in charity care last year for indigent patients in southern Palm Beach County? This is an increase of nearly 27 percent from the charity care Bethesda provided in 2008.
There is nothing more important in life than good health. Thanks to our great Hospital and generous community members who give to us annually, I am proud to say Bethesda will be here when you need it!
That being said, we rely on your generosity, as you rely on us. Please consider making a tax-deductible gift today on our website: please make a gift of $500, $100, $50, $25 or any amount to help the Hospital.
A gift to Bethesda is not just an investment in our community, it’s a choice to Invest in Life for you, your family and your neighbors. Thank you.
